Africa World Now Project

Africa World Now Project hosted at WSNC 90.5 FM by James Pope, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Liberal Studies and Program Coordinator, African and Diasporic Studies at Winston-Salem State University.

AwNP RaDiO broadcasts from the studio of WSNC 90.5 on the campus of Winston Salem State University every Wednesday starting @ 7PM.

AwNP RaDiO is your classroom on the radio with beats. It seeks to provide actionable information that explores continuities and discontinuities in the history, culture, and politics of the African world. AwNP RaDiO does this by engaging in non-traditional discussions with scholars, artists, journalist, activist, social justice engineers and others who examine, from a decidedly progressive perspective, various issues that exist in the entire African world. You can stream live at or access WSNC via TuneIn App.

Don't miss AwNP RaDiO or our partner program AfricaNow!
